3. Nigeria.

People in Nigeria are ruled by fear. The terrorist Islamist group Boko Haram routinely demolishes Christian churches and schools. The terrorist group claims to be protecting citizens from becoming Westernized. The country is in a constant state of political unrest and widespread violence.

North Korea is ruled by the government. The country is completely cut off from the outside. There is no communication except the communication channels approved by the government. Electricity is rare and North Korea sees black with satellite feeds, while the rest of the world is lit. If someone disagrees with the ruler, King Jong-il, he dies. Jong-il's stories kill their family members by tearing the dogs out of hungry.

Being an oil rich nation, this country has lots of potential but with the current crisis in the middle east, it will be a very long time for the country to have a prosperous economy and become anywhere near a good place to live.
